Squid Acres offers summer dog mushing experiences at both our Cantwell location, near Denali National Park and at the Susitna Adventure Lodge at MP 77 on the scenic Denali Highway. Join Cody, Paige, and other awesome guides to learn about the amazing athletes of Squid Acres Kennel. You’ll get the chance to meet the dogs, one on one. Learn what it takes to train for and run the worlds toughest sled dogs races. Help hook up the team and go for a training run in a 5 passenger ATV.

Day Mushing Experience
Join mushers Paige Drobny and Cody Strathe for a full summer day at the Susitna Adventure Lodge on the scenic Denali Highway. Meet the amazing sled dogs, and hook up a team to a 5 passenger ATV for a ride. Tour the surrounding wilderness. Hike with the huskies, go fishing, or paddle the alpine lake.
Susitna Lodge Overnight Mushing Experience
Go hiking with the amazing canine athletes who run the toughest dogsled races in the world. Enjoy an overnight stay at the Susitna Adventure Lodge, which you’ll have to yourself. Enjoy fishing, paddling or just relaxing. Hook up a team to a 5 passenger ATV for a ride Meals, lodging and guide provided.
Dog Sled Tours
Squid Acres Kennel offers a variety of dog mushing activities for a variety of experience levels. We have two locations to choose from. Most of our dog sled tours begin from our Cantwell location, on the picturesque Denali Highway. Our second location is at the Susitna Adventure Lodge, Mile Post 77 on the Denali Highway.
Winter Tours
Join our experienced dog mushing guides one of our Winter Dog Sled Rides or Day Trips, or book a half day Mushing School experience and learn to drive your own team. Take an evening Aurora Sled Ride for a four hour tour to a remote camp. Sit around a cozy campfire with a hot beverage and watch for the northern lights.

Learn to run your own team of huskies. Receive personal instruction as you mush your own small team in the mountains near Denali National Park.
Custom Adventure Trips
We specialize in custom Alaskan adventure trips. We can create a mushing experience tailored to your group’s needs.
Join an entire overnight or multi-day custom trip to travel through remote wilderness by dog sled and camp in Arctic Oven tents as we go.
With our lodged-based multi-day trips, you can Fly by ski plane or take our tracked snowcoach to the luxurious Susitna Adventure Lodge. Spend your days mushing in the remote Clearwater Mountains, and your nights in the comfortable of our Lodge.
Each spring, we offer two Wild Women’s Dog Mushing Retreats with mushers Paige Drobny and Ryne Olson. Spend a week traveling, camping, and learning between Cantwell and the Susitna Adventure Loge along the Denali Highway.
